My anxiety-filled Flufferkins has always hated going to the groomers. He has been sent home mid haircut at other dog spas because of it... This was a completely different experience... They let me stay in the same areas as him... They didn't put him in a kennel with a bunch of other barking dogs... They gave me great tips on his health and bathing procedures. I was very impressed with their knowledge of common issues in different dog breeds and what to keep an eye on or speak with a vet about. Milo looked great afterwards... There were no nicks or missed patches... 10/10 would recommend.
The most exceptional grooming experience imaginable occurred here. Niko: this is a dog that has refused to work with groomers, and has not been able to be professionally groomed in the 3 years I've owned him due to his fear and anxiety... He has been described as "unworkwithable". Most groomers also will not allow owners to be present during the groom... Not Vic. After carefully listening to my concerns and his history, they invited us in for a meet and greet with my dog Niko... He finally found someone patient enough to allow him to take baby steps towards desensitization to the grooming environment. When the day came for grooming, Niko walked in happily. I was emotional seeing him be fully bathed, while calm, with my husband at his side for reassurance. Compassionate. Patient. Skilled. Kind. Will never go elsewhere for my dog's grooming needs. If you're feeling like giving up on grooming because it wasn't able to be accomplished by others, give Vic a chance. You won't be disappointed.
AMAZING SERVICE! AMAZING HUMANS! I have a very difficult older dog that needs a lot of patience to be able to do anything to him, and Vic and their assistant did just that. They called me to educate me about why to keep his fur longer, and putting him on a grooming schedule is important for his health and well being. Vic was able to services other grooming places have not been able to do because of their patience, willingness to work slowly, and ability to listen to cues when my dog was uncomfortable with something. I cried at pickup with how good he looked and all the good things they had to tell me about how he acted during his groom. I will be recommending everyone to Nature's Design!
